All compositions by Dan Rose. Conversations offers a loose session that has the feeling of a casual jam. Dan Rose's playing has a slight overtone of sustain and though he uses a jazz attack, he favors a bit more of an electirc edge. Rose wrote all 10 of the compositions, an excursion in free ensemble playing. Bassist Steve Swallow provides a flexible collaborator for the session, and drummer John Betsch swings the rhythms with jaunty, off-kilter aplomb.
